GLASGOW, Ky. – A motorcycle crash at the intersection of East Main Street and Bowen Avenue on Sunday morning resulted in the death of Dakota Dixon Lee, 24, according to the Glasgow Police Department (GPD).
At approximately 11:15 a.m., GPD officers were dispatched to the scene of the two-vehicle collision. Preliminary investigations revealed Lee was traveling east in the wrong lane when his motorcycle collided with a vehicle operated by Lucinda Hurt, who was turning left from Bowen Avenue onto East Main Street.
Lee sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Authorities confirmed Lee was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Hurt suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.
Lane closures were in effect while authorities conducted the investigation, which remains ongoing.
GPD is urging witnesses or anyone with additional information to contact them.
