A motorcyclist died and a passenger sustained serious injuries following a collision with a pickup truck Saturday in Griswold.
According to Connecticut State Police, the crash occurred on Stone Hill Road at the intersection of Roode Road around 2:41 p.m. Responding officers found Nathan Musto, 30, and his passenger lying in the intersection.
Both were transported to Plainfield Backus Hospital, where Musto was pronounced dead. The passenger is reported to have suspected serious injuries. The driver of the pickup truck, who was not injured, declined medical attention at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the incident, including the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad. Motorists may experience lane closures in the area as the investigation continues.
