KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – A motorcycle crash in the Fernan Saddle area on Thursday afternoon resulted in the death of the motorcyclist.
The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. when the motorcycle collided head-on with a truck. According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist was trapped under the truck and later succumbed to injuries at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene. Authorities reported that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released pending notification of family. No other injuries were reported. The road remained closed for several hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
