SCHERTZ, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a passenger vehicle early Saturday morning.
According to the Schertz Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2:44 a.m. at the intersection of Schertz Parkway and Wiederstein Road.
Police identified the victim as 27-year-old Nicholas Moreno of San Antonio. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the passenger vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded promptly, and the road was closed for an investigation, which is ongoing. Tows were arranged for both vehicles involved.
The Schertz Police Department has expressed condolences to Moreno’s family and friends.
