Motorcycle Crash in Rome Claims Life of Local Man
ROME, N.Y. — A motorcycle crash on E. Bloomfield Street resulted in the death of a 45-year-old man on March 12 at approximately 8:24 p.m.
According to the Rome Police Department, the crash, involving a motorcycle and an SUV, occurred in the 500 block of E. Bloomfield Street. The motorcycle operator, identified as Christopher M. Hildenbrandt of Rome, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Rome Health, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the SUV’s operator and passenger were unharmed.
The Rome Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit is conducting an investigation into the incident.
