Motorcyclist Killed in Sacramento County Accident.

ORANGEVALE, Calif. — A man died in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night on Oak Avenue, just west of Filbert Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. while two motorcyclists were riding together. One motorcyclist lost control and collided with a mailbox. Authorities confirmed the incident is under investigation, including the possibility of another vehicle’s involvement.

Westbound lanes of Oak Avenue were closed temporarily, and traffic was diverted to Filbert Avenue during the emergency response. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, and no additional injuries were reported.

CHP spokesperson Matt Wells described the situation as difficult, stating, “Anytime there’s a crash, involving fatalities or injuries, it’s never easy to see.” He noted that family members present at the scene were understandably distraught.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
