AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – A motorcycle crash on South Washington Street Saturday evening has resulted in a fatality.
According to police, the incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of SW 40th and South Washington.
Officials stated the motorcycle was traveling south on Washington when a car attempted to turn onto SW 40th.
The motorcyclist lost control, laid the motorcycle down, and collided with an unrelated vehicle in the turn lane before stopping.
The motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old William Bartlett, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
He was pronounced dead on Sunday due to his injuries.
The driver of the car involved was not injured during the incident.
Authorities are currently investigating the crash.
