Lone Tree Motorcycle Crash Leaves Rider Seriously Injured
A motorcycle and pickup truck collided near Lone Tree, Iowa, on Thursday, August 27, resulting in life-threatening injuries for the motorcycle rider.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:56 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 22 and Wapsi Avenue, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
William Lewis, 34, of Blair, Nebraska, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Highway 22 when the truck struck a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The identity of the motorcycle rider, who sustained serious injuries, has not been released.
Emergency responders transported the injured rider to a nearby hospital. Lewis was uninjured in the incident.
Authorities are investigating the crash, and Iowa State Patrol officials report that no further details are available as the investigation continues.
