CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A motorcycle crash in Cedar Rapids early Saturday morning left a 42-year-old man seriously injured.
Emergency responders were dispatched at 2:19 a.m. to the 3300 block of Ely Road SW following reports of the incident.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a single motorcycle involved in the crash. The rider suffered significant, potentially life-threatening injuries.
First responders administered medical aid at the scene before transporting the man to a local hospital.
Traffic reconstruction units investigated the site, and the roadway has since been reopened.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
