HONOLULU (Local News Wire) – A 39-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on the H-2 Freeway near the Ka Uka off-ramp on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency responders received the call at 12:50 p.m., according to the Honolulu Police Department.
Authorities said the motorcyclist collided with the middle barrier in the northbound lanes.
Paramedics reported the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, but lost control before striking the roadway.
Emergency Medical Services administered advanced life support and transported the man to an emergency room in serious condition.
Two lanes of the H-2 were temporarily closed, but have since been reopened to traffic.
No further information has been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
