1 dead, 1 seriously injured in collision at Stone Hill and Roode roads
GRISWOLD, CT — A 35-year-old man died and another sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle versus pickup truck accident Saturday afternoon in Griswold.
According to Connecticut State Police, the collision occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stone Hill Road and Roode Road. Nathan Musto, of Voluntown, was operating the motorcycle when he was struck by a pickup truck.
Musto was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to Plainfield Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A passenger on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was also hospitalized. The pickup truck driver did not sustain injuries.
Authorities are investigating the crash and request that anyone with information contact Troop E. Lane closures were reported at the intersection as emergency responders worked at the scene.
