North Carolina A&T Football Player Killed in Motorcycle Accident on I-40

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kelvin Broadhurst Jr., 20, a defensive lineman for North Carolina A&T, died in a motorcycle accident Saturday at approximately 4:57 p.m. on Interstate 40.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, Broadhurst was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his Ducati motorcycle while attempting to take the ramp onto U.S. 29 South. Authorities said he veered left, causing the motorcycle to leave the roadway and strike a guardrail. No other vehicles were involved.

Broadhurst was pronounced dead at the scene. The university confirmed his death on Sunday and noted he played in 28 games, recording 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks during his career.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing. No details regarding lane closures or any emergency response were reported.
