Nederland Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Orange County
WEST ORANGE, Texas — A 42-year-old man from Nederland died Saturday after losing control of his motorcycle while crossing railroad tracks, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Ryan Walter was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 3:48 p.m. on FM 1006 near FM 2177. DPS troopers reported that Walter was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle northbound when he crossed the tracks, lost control, laid the motorcycle on its side, and struck a pole.
Emergency response agencies including the Justice of the Peace were on scene. No additional information regarding the incident or its investigation was available.
