Authorities report that a New Hampshire man has been arrested following a fatal hit-and-run crash in Wells on March 24, 2026.
WELLS, Maine —
56-year-old Daniel Paul of Atkinson is in custody on multiple charges after a collision that resulted in the death of 50-year-old Gregory Nolan, also of Wells.
The crash occurred on Route 1 in Wells. Authorities say Paul fled the scene prior to his arrest by Maine State Police and Wells Police on Sunday morning.
Paul faces charges of Manslaughter, Aggravated Driving to Endanger, and Aggravated Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Serious Injury or Death. He is set to be arraigned at the Biddeford Unified Court on January 13, 2027.
