New Meadows Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident.

Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Adams County Claims Life of 50-Year-Old Rider

ADAMS COUNTY, ID – A 50-year-old man from New Market died Wednesday evening in a motorcycle crash on Highway 95. The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to Idaho State Police.

Authorities reported that the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle involved was identified as a 2017 Harley-Davidson.

The northbound lane of Highway 95 remained closed for investigation and cleanup operations. Emergency response included the Adams County Coroner, local deputies, New Meadows firefighters, and EMS personnel. The lane was reopened to traffic just before midnight.

This tragic incident adds to a concerning trend in Idaho, where, during the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), Idaho State Police reported at least 15 fatalities in motorcycle accidents. This year’s outbreaks of deadly accidents are most prevalent in northern Idaho.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
