Local Firefighter and EMT Passes, Remembered for Dedication
WEST REDDING, CT – Cooper Whiteside, a longtime member of the West Redding Fire Department, passed away recently, prompting tributes from local officials.
Whiteside, known as “Coop,” served in various roles, including firefighter, EMT, Lieutenant, Training Captain, and Vice President of the department.
According to West Redding officials, “We express our deepest condolences to the Whiteside family.” Brookfield officials also extended their sympathies, stating, “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Cooper’s family, friends, his brothers and sisters of the Bridgeport Police Department and the Members of the West Redding Volunteer Fire Department during this incredibly difficult time.”
Residents and fellow responders remembered him for his service and commitment.
