NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) — A memorial motorcycle ride was held Wednesday evening to honor Caleb Poole, who died in a collision on Friday.
The event began at a Lowe’s parking lot and concluded at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Highway 169, where the fatal incident occurred. Poole, 20, was allegedly struck by a van while riding his motorcycle.
According to the Jessamine County Coroner’s Office, Poole suffered fatal injuries in the crash, which remains under investigation by local authorities. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene on Friday, but Poole was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.
During the memorial, family and friends shared memories and reflected on Poole’s positive impact on their lives. Cheryl Hughes, Poole’s grandmother, emphasized that the family aims to “live in his light” as they navigate their grief.
His aunt, Mackenna Taylor, mentioned that he had expressed aspirations to marry and serve in the Army shortly before his passing. As the family mourns, they are focused on honoring his memory by cherishing moments together.
