A 57-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision on I-95 in Clarendon County on February 27, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. near mile marker 124 southbound. A 2023 Mazda SUV struck a 2020 Indian motorcycle, both traveling south at the time of the accident.
The deceased motorcyclist was identified as Carman Stallings of Whiteville, North Carolina, according to Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell. An autopsy is scheduled for February 29 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Further details, including potential lane closures and traffic impacts, were not immediately available.
