BEAR LAKE COUNTY, Idaho — A 22-year-old man died Friday morning in a head-on motorcycle collision on Minnetonka Cave Road.
The crash occurred at 11:22 a.m., west of St. Charles. According to the Idaho State Police, the man was riding a white Kawasaki KLX110 motorcycle eastbound when he collided with a westbound tan Jeep Liberty driven by a 66-year-old woman from Montpelier, Idaho.
The motorcycle rider, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene. The Jeep driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, did not require medical transport.
Emergency crews closed the roadway for about four hours to investigate the incident. Authorities are actively investigating the collision, assisted by the Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Bear Lake EMS, Bear Lake Fire, and Intermountain Life Flight.
