Ogden PD Identifies Motorcyclist Killed in SUV Collision.

OGDEN, Utah, July 9, 2026 — A motorcycle collision near the 3300 block of Washington Boulevard resulted in the death of a 68-year-old rider Tuesday.

Robert Bow was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound when a Ford Escape, exiting a parking lot at 3355 Washington Boulevard, made a left turn into his path, according to Ogden City Police. Bow struck the front of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts by witnesses and Ogden Fire personnel.

The Weber Metro Crash Team is investigating the incident. No additional vehicles were involved, and the Ford Escape’s driver remained on-site. Police emphasized the importance of caution on the roads, particularly during the summer, which is noted as a peak period for traffic accidents.

Authorities stated, “Summer is often one of the deadliest times of year for traffic crashes.” They urged drivers to slow down, stay alert, and prioritize safe driving behaviors.

Further updates on the investigation will be released as information becomes available.
