TOWN OF MODENA, Wis. (WEAU) – A single-motorcycle crash in Buffalo County has resulted in one fatality.
According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on March 21, 2026, at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Highway 37, near County Road J.
Emergency medical services reported that the motorcycle had left the roadway and collided with a tree. Bystanders initiated life-saving measures on the driver until first responders arrived.
The driver, 73-year-old Andrew Mellor of Eau Claire, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
