3 injured in Route 140 crash
FINKSBURG, Md. —
A collision on Route 140 on Monday evening sent three people to the hospital, including one with serious injuries.
According to Maryland State Police, a 2006 Honda motorcycle, operated by 26-year-old Joshua Paul Devine of Westminster, collided with a 1991 Ford pickup truck driven by 55-year-old Michael Henderson Brown, also of Westminster, while both were traveling south.
Authorities said Devine lost control of the motorcycle and veered into Brown’s lane, resulting in the crash. Devine was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact.
Officials confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
Devine sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Brown and a passenger in his truck were taken to the hospital with injuries that were reported as non-life-threatening.
The incident is under investigation, and further details may be released by authorities.
