TOWN OF OWEGO, N.Y. (WBNG) — One person is dead following a motorcycle-SUV crash on Route 434 early Wednesday, according to New York State Police.
At approximately 4 a.m. on June 3, state police responded to the collision at the intersection of Route 434 and Forest Hill Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a motorcycle collided with an SUV. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported the SUV was traveling on Forest Hill Road before entering the Route 434 intersection, where the driver failed to see the motorcycle. The motorcyclist struck the SUV’s side.
The SUV driver is cooperating with the investigation and was transported to Wilson Medical Center for evaluation.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the deceased motorcyclist’s identity will be released pending notification of next of kin, state police said.
