Pedestrian Fatally Struck in South Lubbock Crash.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash on 82nd Street near University Avenue on October 4 at 8:12 p.m.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, the pedestrian, a 28-year-old man, was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the incident. 82nd Street was closed for several hours while crews cleared the scene.

In a separate incident, two individuals sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway at 11:45 a.m. The specifics of their conditions are not available.
