Piscataway, NJ – A two-car crash near SHI Stadium on River Road resulted in one fatality and four injuries Monday evening.
At approximately 7:15 p.m., a 30-year-old man lost control of his vehicle while traveling north on River Road. His car veered into the southbound lane and was struck on the driver’s side by another vehicle, causing extensive damage to both cars.
Emergency crews transported the man to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Four occupants of the second vehicle sustained injuries; three were taken to a local hospital, while one received treatment at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the crash and reviewing evidence, including statements from witnesses. No lane closures were reported as a result of the crash.
According to the Piscataway Police Department, the investigation is ongoing. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
