PHOENIX — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a pickup truck in north Phoenix on Saturday at approximately 3 p.m.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred near 7th Street and Union Hills Drive. Officers found the motorcyclist, identified as 39-year-old Norman Absher, unresponsive at the scene.
Absher was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The pickup truck driver was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being freed from the vehicle.
Authorities are investigating the crash and believe Absher may have been speeding when the pickup driver turned left in front of him. Police reported that the driver of the truck showed no signs of impairment.
The investigation is ongoing, and further details have not yet been released.
