Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Dickerson Under Investigation
DICKERSON, MD — A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at approximately 1:11 p.m. at the intersection of Dickerson Road and Mouth of Monocacy Road.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit, a green 2005 Kawasaki ZX636 traveling westbound collided with a tan 2019 Subaru Ascent traveling southbound. The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Michael Richard Bower of Hagerstown, was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. Emergency responders from Montgomery County Fire Rescue assisted at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and may take several weeks to complete. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
