JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (Local News Wire) – A motorcycle accident claimed the life of Father Larry Huber, 61, Thursday afternoon on Route V at Mount Olive Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Huber was riding a 2008 Honda VTX1300 northbound when a southbound 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, driven by a 54-year-old woman from Imperial, made a left turn onto Mount Olive Road.
Authorities said Huber attempted to brake but skidded, colliding with the right side of the Ford. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, and tow services were requested to clear the road.
Immaculate Conception Church in Park Hills confirmed Huber’s death on their Facebook page, describing him as a “shepherd, teacher, and faithful servant.”
In addition to his pastoral duties, Huber created the Community of Transcendent Men, designed to educate young men in Catholic teachings.
