MIDLAND, Texas — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a pickup truck Tuesday afternoon near Midkiff Road and Industrial Avenue.
According to the Midland Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m., involving a Ford F-250 pickup traveling southbound on Midkiff Road and a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist made a left turn in front of the pickup, resulting in a collision. The driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased is pending notification of next of kin. Emergency responders closed the southbound lanes of Midkiff Road at Bankhead Highway and parts of Industrial Avenue, but those roads have since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
