ORANGEVALE, Calif. —
Noah Jacobus, 25, died in a motorcycle crash on Oak Avenue Wednesday evening, shortly after proposing to his fiancée, Molly Wiseman.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Jacobus was riding alongside Wiseman when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a mailbox. Investigators are looking into whether another vehicle was involved in the incident.
Wiseman, who did not wish to appear on camera, described Jacobus as a vibrant individual who loved making people smile. The couple had just celebrated their engagement earlier that day.
“We were on our way to dinner because we were going to announce our engagement,” Wiseman said.
She shared that Jacobus was excited about a permanent position he received with the National Guard, a goal he had pursued for months. “It’s just not fair,” she added, expressing her grief over their lost future together.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.
