SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A collision involving a semitruck and motorcycle occurred on N. Newport Highway, five miles southeast of Deer Park, on Thursday at 5:53 p.m.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash resulted in injuries and is currently under investigation. Emergency services have responded to the scene.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of State Route 2 are temporarily closed to facilitate airlift operations for medical aid. The exact number of injuries and the extent of damages are still being confirmed.
Authorities said the road will remain closed until further notice as they conduct their investigation and clear the area.
