On June 10, 2026, a separate incident occurred just after sunrise at East Carey Avenue and North Nellis Boulevard. A collision between an electric bicycle and a standard passenger vehicle resulted in life-threatening injuries to the e-bike rider. Emergency responders stabilized the victim on-site before transporting them to a trauma center.

The intersection was shut down for several hours, leading to significant lane closures and traffic delays along Nellis Boulevard. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding both crashes continue, with a focus on factors such as speed and right-of-way.
