Teen on e-motorcycle critically injured in Provo crash.

PROVO — A 17-year-old was critically injured in an e-motorcycle crash at 600 West and Center Street on Friday afternoon.

Police responded to the scene shortly after 4:30 p.m. The teenager was riding north on 600 West when a vehicle traveling east on Center Street collided with the e-motorcycle, according to Provo police spokesperson Janna-Lee Holland.

The injured teen was transported to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

As of 8 p.m., some lanes in the area remained closed while the investigation continued. The timeline for reopening those lanes is unclear.
