LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A motorcycle crash early Friday morning resulted in the death of a 22-year-old male in Lubbock.
According to Texas Tech Police, officers responded to the accident at 4:15 a.m. near 13th Street and Texas Tech Parkway. Emergency medical personnel pronounced the motorcyclist, identified as Israel Ulysses Tapia, dead on the scene.
Authorities report that Tapia was traveling southbound on Texas Tech Parkway when he collided with a curb, causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Texas Tech Police are also continuing their inquiry into the incident.
