Thomasville man dies after motorcycle crash in Wilkes County
WILKES COUNTY, N.C. —
A 58-year-old Thomasville man died following a motorcycle crash on U.S. 421 South on Sunday afternoon.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred near Clingman Road around 2:30 p.m.
Investigators report that Todd Calloway was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound when he veered off the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Calloway succumbed to his injuries while en route to an area hospital, authorities said.
Troopers do not believe that speed or impairment contributed to the crash, and there were no other vehicles involved.
