ADELPHI, Md. – Three people were killed and two others injured in a multi-vehicle crash near New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday.
The accident involved a motorcycle and two other vehicles. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene, while two occupants from another vehicle were also confirmed dead. Two individuals from a third vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
New Hampshire Avenue was closed in both directions for several hours during the investigation. Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims, and the incident remains under investigation.
