LITTLE COMPTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A 29-year-old woman from Tiverton died Saturday afternoon following a motorcycle crash on Simmons Road.
According to Police Chief Scott Raynes, emergency responders arrived at the scene of a head-on collision involving the motorcycle and a car shortly after 2:41 p.m.
Authorities said the motorcyclist, identified as Tammy Boutilier, lost control and collided with an eastbound vehicle. She was transported to St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment. No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
The Rhode Island State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is conducting the investigation.
