GRAFTON, Mass. —
A 31-year-old Massachusetts State Police trooper died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday evening in Grafton.
Trooper Jacob Mick was involved in a collision on Providence Road and Milford Road, first reported around 6:45 p.m. by Grafton Police.
Mick was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of a passenger vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
The Massachusetts State Police Department expressed condolences, stating, “He was a proud Trooper and public servant who never hesitated to answer the call,” as noted by Col. Geoffrey Noble.
Mick graduated from the 88th Recruit Training Troop in 2023, the same class as Trooper Kevin Trainor, who was killed in a separate incident the previous month.
Before his service with the Massachusetts State Police, Mick was an officer with the Northborough Police Department. The department highlighted his dedication and impact on the community.
Mick was also a graduate of Algonquin Regional High School, where he was a hockey player.
