EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Two people died in a crash on I-69 near Green River Road on Monday at approximately 2:41 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that multiple vehicles were involved in the incident. The eastbound lanes of I-69 are closed as crews work to reconstruct the accident.
Emergency responders from the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and local medical units are on site. The cause of the crash is under investigation; however, authorities do not suspect alcohol as a contributing factor.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
