PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two people sustained critical injuries in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening in west Phoenix.
First responders received reports of the incident around 6:15 p.m. near 49th Avenue and Cactus Road, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a crashed motorcycle with two riders — a teenage girl and a woman. Both were transported to a local hospital in critical condition, fire officials confirmed.
Phoenix Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Authorities have not reported any other vehicles involved or additional injuries. No road closures have been reported as a result of the incident, though traffic may be affected in the area.
