PHOENIX — Two motorcyclists sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car on Wednesday night at Ninth Street and Bell Road.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:20 p.m. The two victims were thrown from the motorcycle and were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital by Phoenix Fire Department personnel.
The driver of the car remained at the scene while police initiated an investigation. Authorities believe the vehicle ran a red light, leading to the crash.
Traffic restrictions were in place in the area for several hours following the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
