Two Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Horton Highway, One Airlifted to Hospital.

Two motorcyclists were injured in a collision on Horton Highway in Greene County shortly before 9:40 p.m. last night.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a 1996 Harley-Davidson, operated by 54-year-old Robert Raynor, turned into the path of a 2004 Kawasaki driven by 61-year-old Cecil Gregg. The two motorcycles collided in a sideswipe manner, resulting in both coming to rest in the roadway.

One rider was flown from the scene by Highlands Emergency Air Rescue to a local hospital. THP has not provided updates on either man’s condition. Charges are pending against both riders.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad, Greene County EMS, and United Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the accident.
