Two people died in a motorcycle crash on Loop 375 in El Paso’s Lower Valley, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on July 12, on the westbound lanes near the Yarbrough Drive exit, according to El Paso Police and Texas Department of Transportation officials.
Police confirmed that two motorcyclists died at the scene. The El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigations Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
Family members identified the deceased as Alfredo and Miriam Dela Torre through a GoFundMe page established for funeral expenses.
The crash resulted in the closure of Loop 375 and adjacent frontage roads for nearly 12 hours. Traffic lanes were reopened at around 6:15 a.m. on July 13, TxDOT officials said.
