Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-95 Leaves One Dead, Several Injured
PORTSMOUTH, NH – A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 95 northbound near exit 5 at 3:15 p.m. on October 3, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
According to the New Hampshire State Police, two cars and a commercial truck were involved in the collision. One driver, a 45-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders from the Portsmouth Fire Department aided at the scene, and the State Police are conducting an investigation. Tows for the vehicles were arranged, and the left lane of the highway remains closed as of 5 p.m.
Authorities stated that weather conditions were clear at the time of the incident. Witnesses reported heavy traffic delays in the area as responders worked to clear the scene.
