WAIKOLOA, Hawaii (Local News Wire) — A motorcyclist died following a collision with a Jeep Wrangler on Waikoloa Road Friday evening.
Authorities said the 45-year-old man was riding east in the westbound bicycle lane near the 2-mile marker at approximately 9:16 p.m. when he sideswiped a gray 2023 Jeep Wrangler heading west. First responders arrived shortly after the incident, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:33 p.m. He has been identified as David Franklin Roland.
