VALLEY CENTER, Kan. — A motorcycle crash on July 27, 2026, claimed the life of 46-year-old Guerrero Moreno Jr. near Valley Center.
According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, Moreno’s motorcycle collided with an SUV. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
This tragedy comes exactly two years after Moreno’s wife, Erin, and their 17-year-old son died in a separate crash on the Kansas Turnpike on July 27, 2024.
The couple’s surviving sons, ages 11 and 14, are now facing the loss of both parents. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with funeral expenses and ongoing needs.
The page highlights Guerrero’s dedication to his sons. “They are now grieving the passing of their father as well,” it states.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. Details concerning lane closures or additional injuries were not immediately available.
