A fatal motorcycle accident occurred in Norfolk on Saturday night, attributed to strong winds.
Garlon Turner, 60, of Suffolk crashed his motorcycle when he lost control and skidded across the pavement, according to Virginia State Police. Sgt. Michelle Cotten confirmed that Turner went over the edge of the bridge and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident, authorities said. The southbound lanes of the bridge were closed for approximately two hours during the response and investigation.
