Independence, MO. – One person was injured in a motorcycle accident early Friday morning in Independence.
According to the Independence Police Department, the accident happened around 1 a.m. on Sterling Avenue at U.S. 40 Highway.
A 2007 Suzuki motorcycle was southbound on Sterling Avenue when it crashed into a 2016 Jeep Wrangler that was turning west into the parking lot of a Quicktrip.
The rider suffered serious injuries from the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
The Jeep driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
