Polk County, FL. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car at an intersection near Frostproof in Florida County on Sunday night.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at U.S. 27 and Charles Street.
A 48-year-old woman driving a van was turning left onto U.S. 27 when she struck a motorcycle.
The 37-year-old man riding the motorcycle was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The man was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
