OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — An 18-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash on Interstate 35 Sunday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Authorities reported that Martinez-Neito lost control of his motorcycle at high speed while riding with a group on Interstate 40. The motorcycle entered the northbound I-35 on-ramp, struck the inside wall, and collided with the outside barrier.
Neito was ejected over the interstate wall and landed on a riverbank. His motorcycle came to rest on the outside shoulder.
Despite efforts from emergency responders, Neito succumbed to his injuries; his passenger escaped uninjured. Family members have been notified.
The incident remains under investigation, with updates expected as more information becomes available.
